She was born Oct. 31, 1909, in York County, SC, to the late Ralph Newton and Focie Lee Horton Adams. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery VISITATION: 6 to7:30 p.m. Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home INTERMENT: Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery SURVIVORS: Son, Roy Broome of Bessemer City; daughter-in-law: Barbara Steel Broome of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Sandra B. Loyd and husband Greg, Nicole B. Whitaker and husband Joey all of Bessemer City, William Broome and wife Teresa of Gastonia, Tommy Broome of Bessemer City; great-grandchildren, Jamie P.
